Finally a bang on news for Diablo 4 lovers! As the official Nvidia website states, two brilliant Ray tracing effects are going to be launched on March 26 of this year. The players will find all the appropriate reflective surfaces including water, armor, and windows being extra realistic using the ray tracing reflection. Going forward, the in-game Sanctuary battles are going to be more than thrilling using the brand new ray tracing transparent reflection. Apart from that, multiple suitable shadows will be enhanced using ray tracing adding a whole new level of precise detailing to the game.
However, fans were already aware that Diablo 4 was going to get the ray tracing feature when Nvidia announced it at CES 2024, earlier this year. But, now they have an officially confirmed date for this cutting-edge graphics technology. Nowadays, Ray tracing is available in many modern games making the visuals more realistic. With ray tracing, players will experience real-life light behavior in the gameplay while enjoying the feeling of exploring the world by having their gaming consoles at hand. Well, to get the right hold of how it will look in Diablo 4, this YouTube video from the NVIDIA GeForce channel can be of huge help.
Diablo 4 Along With the Upcoming Ray Tracing Feature Is Going to Be a Game-Changer for Microsoft-Activision Blizzard
Apart from ray tracing, Diablo 4 has other supporting features like DLSS 3, although it’s accessible only on the GeForce RTX 40 series graphics card. To quote Nvidia “DLSS 3 is powered by the new fourth-generation Tensor Cores and Optical Flow Accelerator of the NVIDIA Ada Lovelace architecture, which powers GeForce RTX 40 Series graphics cards,”. However, the features that RTX users will have with ray tracing are not very clear yet.
From the given video, it can be seen that the average FPS is 53-54 having the RT enabled. But with RTX 40 series GPUs and DLSS 3, the frames per second (FPS) will be much higher. Anyway, Diablo 4, the mega-hit game by Blizzard Entertainment, has truly proved the words of Mike Ybarra, President of Blizzard – “Our vision at Blizzard is to create legendary experiences for all to share” by adding this advanced feature of ray tracing. Well, Diablo 4 has a series of things scheduled this year.
On March 28, 2024, two days after the release of ray tracing, Diablo 4 is going to be available on Xbox Game Pass. After the mind-boggling $68.7 billion deal of Microsoft-Activision Blizzard, this game will be the first to show up on Xbox’s gaming subscription having exposure to 34 million users. Besides, in late 2024, Diablo 4 is scheduled to get an expansion called ‘Vessel of Hatred’ where players will experience a brand new Diablo class. Having the story about Neyrelle and Mephisto and his Sanctuary plans, ‘Vessel of Hatred’ is going to take place in ‘Nahantu’. However, not many details are available on the expansion.
With ray tracing and so many new things coming up, lots of anticipation is going on regarding Diablo 4. Only a little wait can help to get the genuine confirmed details of what’s happening in the dungeon-crawler RPG.
