Life on a Mysterious Island Phase 1: Arrival and Orientation
Interact with Everyone
- Begin on the ship.
- Speak to every character onboard.
Name the Island
- After a cutscene, you’ll arrive at a deserted island.
- Assign a name to the island. This can be changed later if needed.
First Encounter with the Bone Dragon
- A second cutscene introduces the Bone Dragon.
- You’re taken to a new island.
Initial Exploration
- Regain control of your character.
- Access and review the new menu options.
- Head towards the map marker.
Combat Tutorial
- Instead of finding Edward, meet a mysterious girl and three Tunoco Lizards.
- Learn basic combat mechanics by fending them off.
- After the fight, you will receive a tutorial for registering items in your bag.
Search for the Bone Dragon
- Continue exploring to gather items, hunt for treasure, and earn EXP.
- Follow the quest marker to find the Bone Dragon surrounded by guards.
Life on a Mysterious Island Phase 2: Life Selection and Rank Progression
Visit Mysteria Castle
- A cutscene transports you to the next part of the quest.
- Climb the stairs to meet King Ranoah.
- He won’t help unless you have a Life. You’ll be sent to the Guild Office.
Head to the Guild Office
- You’ll arrive just outside the Guild Office.
- If you have the Deluxe Edition, collect bonus items from the chest.
- Speak to Auntie Anne to choose your Life.
- The Farmer and Artist options are not yet available.
- Pick from the other 12 Lives.
Meet Your Life Master
- Locate your Life Master using the map marker.
- Before meeting them, feel free to explore more of the island.
Complete Your First Life Challenge
- Speak to your Life Master to get your Life Challenge.
- Complete it to reach the Fledgling Rank.
- Report back to receive your first reward.
Talk to Auntie Anne Again
- After ranking up, return to Auntie Anne.
- Collect your 1,000 Dosh reward.
- It’s now time to revisit King Ranoah, but you’ll need to rest first.
Rest at the Inn
- The inn is located right across from the Guild Office.
- If you choose Mercenary as your Life, your Life Master will also be there.
Life on a Mysterious Island Phase 3: Dragonut, Requests, and Chapter Wrap-up
Revisit Mysteria Castle
- The next day, follow the marker to the capital.
- Head back to Ranoah to receive 3,000 Dosh.
- Learn that the Bone Dragon needs a Dragonut to recover.
Obtain the Dragonut
- A short cutscene with a crow and a Strangeling triggers near the stairs.
- Use the Life Menu to teleport to your Life Master.
- Speak to your Life Master for another Life Challenge in exchange for the Dragonut.
- Check the Quests Menu to understand the task.
Return to the Bone Dragon
- After securing the Dragonut, prepare to revisit the Bone Dragon.
- Before continuing, Auntie Anne demands 10,000 Dosh for house repairs.
Gather 10,000 Dosh
- Complete Requests to earn Dosh.
- Two key Requests are: Feelings Sway, Emotions Weigh and Ranoah’s Treasure.
- Take advantage of other Requests you find for additional rewards.
- Return to the Guild Office once you have enough Dosh.
Prepare for Chapter 2
- Fully explore the island, unlock all available Lives, and finish any remaining Requests.
- Once you proceed with the Bone Dragon, you won’t return until later in the story.
- When you’re ready, approach the Bone Dragon and confirm to move on to Chapter 2: Leap of a Thousand Years.
